About the event
As you shift into the cold dry months of Fall and Winter, the hustle and bustle of holidays and everything else you have to manage, it's a good time to take a pause by treating yourself to an afternoon of self-care. So often we find ourselves busy taking care of everyone else except for ourselves. This is an opportunity to take a few hours for you to nourish your body, mind and soul.
Your retreat will start with a 90-minute yoga asana practice that is deeply nourishing and grounding. Practices may include Yoga Nidra, crystal bowl sound healing, pranayama (breath work), meditation and/or reiki.
Followed by a short tea break and a rewilding (connect to nature) activity. In the event of extreme weather conditions an activity will be done in the studio. But be prepared to go outside.
Afterwards, your host will present Ayurvedic lifestyle and diet practices to achieve and maintain balance through the holidays and into the New Year. We will end with a seasonally appropriate light supper and Sangha, community. If time and weather permits we may move dinner outside by a fire.
Cost includes tea, dinner, activity supplies and an Ayurveda goodie bag to bring home.
This will be a small intimate group with limited spots. You must pre-register to attend.
4 or more participants are needed to attend otherwise the retreat will be cancelled.
NO Ayurveda or Yoga experience necessary, beginners are welcome!
Things to bring:
- A yoga mat.
- A journal or something to write on and with.
- Appropriate clothing for the weather. Layers are best.
- An open mind.
