About the event
Restorative yoga is a restful practice of various postures (asana) that are held between 8-12 minutes to allow the body to find relaxation in the pose. You are often propped up and support by blankets, blocks, and bolsters (big fluffy pillows) to allow the body to completely relax while feeling supported. It is a passive and meditative form of yoga that focuses on the breath to release tension from both the mind and body.
Benefits include: deeply relaxes the body, stills a busy mind, releases tension, balances the nervous system, and improves immunity. Surprisingly it can be energizing. No yoga experience is required.
Bring your own mat if you have one. We have all the props and supports you need. We will guide you through a restful experience.
