Heart Support

Heart-supportive foods contribute fiber, beneficial fats, potassium, antioxidants, and overall dietary patterns associated with cardiovascular health. Ayurveda understands the heart as a physical and emotional center influenced by circulation, stress, and ojas.

Heart-supportive eating emphasizes vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, seeds, beneficial fats, and an appropriate balance of sodium and potassium. The overall pattern matters more than one ingredient.

Ayurveda calls the heart hridaya and considers circulation, vyana Vata, emotional strain, sleep, movement, and ojas alongside food. These choices support health but do not treat heart disease or replace prescribed medication. Chest pressure, sudden shortness of breath, fainting, sweating with pain, or discomfort spreading to the arm, back, neck, or jaw requires urgent care.
