Hormonal Support

Hormone-supportive foods provide adequate energy, protein, fats, fiber, and micronutrients needed for normal endocrine function. Ayurveda approaches hormonal transitions through nourishment, agni, stress, sleep, and the individual pattern—not a promise to “balance hormones.”

Hormones coordinate metabolism, reproduction, stress response, sleep, appetite, and many other functions. Adequate calories, protein, beneficial fats, fiber, and varied micronutrients provide the raw materials and steady nourishment these systems need.

Ayurveda considers agni, tissue nourishment, sleep, stress, and the doshic pattern during hormonal transitions. Herbs such as shatavari or ashwagandha may be used traditionally, but they do not universally “balance hormones” and can interact with conditions or medicines. Persistent cycle changes, unexpected bleeding, severe symptoms, or suspected thyroid or reproductive concerns deserve appropriate evaluation.
