Rasayana (Rejuvenative)
Rasayana is Ayurveda’s rejuvenative approach to strengthening resilience, tissue quality, clarity, and healthy aging. It includes food, herbs, rest, behavior, and rhythm—and is most effective when digestion and elimination are supported.
Rasayana means rejuvenative care in Ayurveda. It is broader than taking an “anti-aging” herb: it includes nourishing food, sleep, ethical and supportive relationships, daily rhythm, mental steadiness, and practices suited to the person’s stage of life.
Traditional rasayana foods and herbs aim to support the quality of the dhatus, resilience, clarity, and ojas.
Ayurveda generally prepares digestion and elimination first so deeper nourishment can be received. Rasayana is not a cure or guarantee of longevity. Concentrated herbs require individualized attention to dose, constitution, pregnancy, medications, and health conditions.
