Nourish & Hydrate with Bone Broth

Updated: Jan 6, 2023

Bone broth is extremely hydrating and provides great nourishment for the body. It is filled with vitamins and minerals as well as protein. It warms the body on a cold dry day, is easy to digest and boosts immunity. It's particularly helpful when recovering from illness. It is touted for its anti-inflammatory properties and may help to heal the gut. It is balancing for Vata and Pitta doshas but can be somewhat aggravating to Kapha in excess.

I always have bone broth on hand through the autumn and winter months. It is my go-to breakfast when I’m pressed for time or need a small snack. I like to spice mind up with turmeric, moringa, black pepper and ghee. This boosts the anti-inflammatory properties and the nutritional value. Beyond drinking broth, I also use to make soups and cook rice for boosted nutritional value.

It is easy to make but does take a time. You can check out my chicken bone broth recipe here! Enjoy :)
