Ginger Turmeric Carrot Soup

About the Recipe

This is a warming and grounding soup that is light, sweet with a little bit of spicy. It makes a perfect soup for late winter and early Spring to support both Vata and Kapha doshas.


  • 2-4 T Ghee

  • ¼ cup Onion, sliced

  • ½ Celery, chopped

  • 5 cups Carrots

  • 2-inch slice of Ginger root or ½-1 tsp of powder

  • 2-inch slice of Turmeric root or ½ -1 tsp of powder

  • ¼-1/2 tsp Pippali

  • Black pepper, to taste

  • Himalayan salt, to taste

  • 3 T Apple Cider Vinegar


  1. Sautee garlic, onions, pippali, turmeric and ginger in ghee for 5 minutes.

  2. Add celery, carrots and cover with water.

  3. Gently boil on medium-high until carrots are very tender.

  4. Add cooked soup into a blend and blend to your preferred consistency.
