Celebrating 8 Years: Honoring the Path of Yoga, Ayurveda & Self-Healing

Eight years ago, I stood at the threshold of something that would forever change my life—my yoga teacher training graduation. I remember that moment vividly, the excitement, the uncertainty, and the quiet knowing that this was only the beginning. I had no idea then how deeply yoga would shape not only my career but my entire way of being.

A beautiful moment with my fellow graduates—our journey into the world of teaching yoga officially began here. This day marked the beginning of something truly transformative.

From that day forward, yoga became more than a practice—it became my path of service. I’ve had the honor of guiding hundreds of students through nearly 4,000 hours of teaching, working with people from all walks of life. Just, to name a few, I've taught yoga to:

✨ Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

✨ Those challenged with addiction and mental health disorders

✨ People in wheelchairs, and those who are deaf or blind

Beginners and advanced practitioners, from 6 months to 89 years old

Guiding a group through a lakeside yoga practice—one of my favorite ways to bring movement, mindfulness, and connection to nature together.

Each person I’ve worked with has taught me something invaluable—that yoga is not about flexibility, fancy postures, or how long you can hold a pose. It’s about coming home to yourself, learning to listen, and finding balance in a world that often feels unstable.

But my journey didn’t stop at yoga.

Finding Ayurveda: A Deeper Path to Healing

Yoga led me to Ayurveda, the sister science that would help me understand healing on a whole new level. Through my own personal struggles—imbalances, burnout, and the need to find deeper nourishment—I immersed myself in the study of Ayurveda. I became an Ayurveda Health Counselor and Practitioner, diving into the art of self-healing through diet, lifestyle, herbs and body treatments.

This work is personal. Ayurveda helps me heal. It helps me to reconnect with myself in ways I never expected, and I have great passion to share the timeless wisdom. Now, alongside yoga, Ayurveda is a cornerstone of my work, allowing me to offer more personalized healing experiences that honor each individual’s unique journey.

A Season of Renewal—Expanding My Offerings

This past fall, I took a necessary hiatus from teaching. I stepped back to focus on my own practice, my own healing, my own breath. It was a time of reflection and recalibration. Now, with the arrival of spring on the horizon, I feel a deep excitement to return—not just to teaching, but to serving in a more personalized way.

Here’s what’s coming this spring:

🌿 NEW! Rise & Shine Yoga Beginning March 3, 2025 - Mondays at 8 AM, to start the week feeling energized and grounded.

🌿 Ayurvedic Consultations or Mini Wellness Sessions – Personalized diet & lifestyle guidance to support your well-being

🌿 Ayurvedic Body Treatments – Restorative therapies like Abhyanga (warm oil massage) and Vishesh to nourish and heal

After eight years, my passion for this work has only deepened. My life’s purpose has always been to empower individuals from all backgrounds to discover self-realization and self-healing through Yoga and Ayurveda. My own journey—from trauma and chaos to grounding and balance—has shaped the way I guide others. Every student, every client, every session is a reminder that healing is possible, that balance is possible, and that we are never alone in the process.

This moment captures the joy and deep gratitude I felt stepping into my purpose—teaching, healing, and guiding others through yoga and Ayurveda.
